My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Anya, a one-year-old shepherd mix with a lovely personality! At first, she might seem a bit shy, but give her a little time, and you will see her true colors shine. Once she warms up, Anya is all about fun. She is full of energy and excitement. She gets along well with other dogs, though she has a bit of a sassy streak and isn`t afraid to be a little bossy when she feels like it. Anya is ready to fill your life with love and joy, could she be the one for you?

Additional adoption info

We encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone.

Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
