Turner is a Collie/Golden Retriever Mix. He is Tan and White. Turner is 6 Years Old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 38 lbs.
Turner is a beautiful and sweet boy! Turner along with his three friends were seized from their property after a (valid) complaint was called in concerning their care. None of the boys had food or fresh water and two were tied so far behind the property that the pound didn't even know they were there. A very generous local groomer had all the boys shaved while they were at the pound so now Turner looks like a fuzzy fox that needs to gain about 10 lbs. For everything Turner has been through he is so sweet and gentle with everyone. He also knows some basic commands such as "Sit" and "Give Paw." Turner also loves all dogs, as soon as he see's another dog he tail just starts to wag. He is a very gentle boy who would love to have a home where he can relax and finally know what a home is like. Turner is very sweet and mellow and has fit in nicely into his foster family, now he just has to find that forever home to call his own!
Turner would do well in any household. He loves everyone he's met including adults, kids and other dogs. Turner walks very well on the leash and enjoys taking walks with you. He also is very good while riding in the car and usually lays down and takes a nap during the trip. Turner is also completely crate trained and is almost housetrained, for being an outside dog Turner has already done so well and is now adjusting to a schedule for when he is taken out to potty. Turner already know some basic commands and would probably love to go through obedience classes because it's a great way to bond with his new family and plus he'd get to meet all sorts of different dogs to become friends with. Turner would love to go to a home with another dog, but wouldn't mind being the king of his castle and get all the attention! He hasn't seemed very interested in going on furniture but does enjoy a nice comfy dog bed. Turner has been shaved once and slowly his hair will grow back to a nice fluffy coat. Since he was so badly matted we want him to go to a home where he will be groomed and brushed as needed. Turner has been through so much living outside for too long, now he deserves the comfort that a forever home can provide him.
Turner is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
