Happy go lucky boy Seamus is friendly with other dogs plus awesome for a home with adults. Seamus is very much of the "work hard, play hard" mindset getting a little rough with play and toys- that's the only reason why we say adults.
2 year old Seamus is always hungry for treats and is happy to sit on command. Like the good boy he is Seamus aced his evaluation and our trainer says he's more than ready to find a home! Make your way to our Newark, NJ shelter to meet Seamus!

Individuals wishing to adopt an animal from our shelter must complete an adoption application and provide proof of home ownership or, if you are a renter, you must provide a copy of your lease or a notarized letter from your landlord stating pets are permitted. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt any animal from our shelter. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption. In some instances, a home visit may be required. Our fees vary depending on the age and breed of the animal. Typically, a mix breed is $110.00 and a purebreed is $150.00 and up. There is also an altering charge of $85.00 for a male and $95.00 for a female. All animals receive vaccines, microchip identification, frontline treatments.

We are opened 7 days a week between the hours of 12:00-5:00pm for adoptions. No appt is necessary and we welcome prospective adopters to bring their current pet for a meet and greet with one of our orphans.
We hold offsite adoption events throughout the year. Please visit our Facebook page AHS-Newark Branch & our volunteer page, Friends of Associated Humane Newark Shelter.
