For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Meet Mysty, the sweetest senior cat you will ever meet! This adorable little lady may be 8 years old, but don't let her age fool you, she still has plenty of love and playfulness left in her. Mysty is looking for her forever home to spend her golden years in comfort and happiness.
Mysty is a diabetic cat, but don't let that deter you from adopting her. With just a little extra love and care, she will thrive in her new home. She requires daily insulin injections, but she is such a good girl and takes them like a champ. Her previous owners sadly could not provide her with the medical attention she needed, but now she is in a loving foster home and is doing great.
Aside from her medical condition, Mysty is a perfectly healthy cat. She loves to play and chase after toys, especially the ones that make noise. She also enjoys cuddling up on laps and giving gentle head butts to show her affection. She is a true lap cat and will make a loving and loyal companion.
This beautiful girl is looking for a quiet and calm home, where she can relax and enjoy her golden years. She would do best with a family who has experience with diabetic cats and can provide her with the love and care she needs. In return, she promises to shower you with all the love and purrs she has to give.

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.
We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.
UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
