My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prince (Goofy) is a Sheperd mix and is still growing into himself. His coloring is gorgeous as he’s black on top and brown on bottom. His nickname is Goofy because he’s quite clumsy and doesn’t really know his size or proportions. He just turned 1 year old at the beginning of June. He’s a very good listener and easily trained. He’s not that bad on leash but he is a puller as he’s overall a very happy go lucky boy. Has never met a cat. Prince is very affectionate and smart; he knows how to lie down and sit and loves learning tricks. He is a little prince though in the way that he hates water and the rain and won’t sit where it’s wet. He can be a very chatty boy when he plays or wants something. He is really good with other dogs, and was found with his sister who is currently being fostered with him.

He is fully vaccinated, sterilised, dewormed and microchipped. Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!

Il vient d'avoir 1 an début juin.

Additional adoption info

We do regular follow ups and virtual home visits before the family meet the dog. :)

Go meet their pets

We are presently foster based so the meetings will take place where the dogs are being kept and that way the potential family can also discuss the good and bad habits of that dog to see if it's the right fit. The families need to be willing to work on a behaviour if it needs work and to provide the appropriate time and patience for the dog to accllimate to it's new home!

More about this rescue

We are a small shelter with lots of experience with dogs and rescuing. I worked for a larger shelter in the past but didn't always appreciate the way things were handled so I decided to branch out in a smaller scale but with all of the wonderful contacts and information that I've learned in the past decade + of doing rescue! Dogs are my passion and I would love to place as many as possible in their loving, furever homes!
