Iris is a 1-year-old, 29lb Tricolor Bluetick Coonhound.
Iris is a sweet lovable girl who just needs someone that can help her feel safe. Right now, she is very skittish of almost everything, but when she warms up, she loves to snuggle and play. She does very well with her foster dog siblings and feels most confident around other dogs. Due to her shy nature, she'd do best with a home that has a fenced in yard so that she can walk around freely while she learns to be comfortable on a leash. Iris will be one of those cases where the effort will be worth the reward. If you think you'll be able to give Iris the patience and love she deserves, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org.
Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!
