Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop scrolling! Let me tell you about Renee!
Renee found herself in the shelter, about to bust with babies. She gave birth to three healthy babies and went into foster care. In foster, she's been the sweetest girl. She even took on an additional 4 babies that needed a nursing mom! She took great care of all her babies, then got to take a break to be a baby herself.
Since finishing her momma duties she has settled in to her new foster home, recovered from her spay surgery and after some antibiotics is feeling great! She is about 41 pounds and could use just a couple more to round out her post puppy figure. She likes going for walks, hiking, and finding a nice sunny spot in the grass to roll around and soak up the sun for a bit. She has a great time running around and playing with other dogs. She also gets along great with cats, even sneaking a nap with one when no one is looking. She is interested in the cats and wants to interact with them but is not aggressive.
Renee does not love getting into the car but once inside she does well although a little nervous. With time, and going to fun places, she should get better about going for rides.
She does take a bit to warm up to new people but once she does she wants to be around you, giving you kisses if you let her. She is a wonderful dog to have around.
Renee has a sad past. She used to have a family, but they left her with a sitter and never came back for her. Months passed, and the sitter brought her to the shelter. That's where we stepped in! And we've promised her that will never happen again. Think you can help us keep that promise? Ask about Renee!
