Margie is a 2 year old Chihuahua dog mix. Her favorite things to do include cuddling up on the couch and watching for squirrels out the window. She is a very vocal dog, but usually not by way of barking! Instead she gives the cutest sighs and moans and groans to let you know exactly what she is thinking at all times. She is a true velcro dog and follows right on your heels, excited to observe whatever you are up to. She gets her daily zoomies but overall is pretty low energy. Her favorite time of day is in the evening when we sit down on the couch and she gets to plop herself right on top of you for as long as you'll let her! Also, it may be difficult to tell on camera because she tends to blend right into the shadows (we call her little bat!), but Margie has the most adorable little face and eyes you will ever see!
She is potty trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. She is very attentive and wants to please, so is doing great with basic commands. She is still suspicious of meeting new dogs and new people and needs very slow introductions, but warms up with patience. We think that Margie has had a hard life prior to coming to us, by no fault of her own. She still has some fears to work through, but once you gain her trust she is such a loyal and sweet companion. She truly deserves all the love in the world and would be so happy to find a family of her own!
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
