Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I'm Lillah, a 4.5-year-old spayed 55 pound standard black Poodle (with a little white patch on my chest and under my chin). I am sadly looking for a new home.
My mom has had a stroke and she can’t take care of me. I love other dogs and children 8+ years old. I love playing with other dogs, but I can't handle cats. It would be fun to have a resident youngish dog to play with in a fenced-in yard and with whom to have other adventures. I love enrichment, either indoors and outdoos, including hiking, sniff walks, and meeting new people and dogs.
I do need brush-up on force-free training for recall and walking on leash, but otherwise, I have a very sweet disposition and love snuggling, hiking, hanging out. I’m not fond of large fireworks or thunder, but who is? My mom, who has had me since I was a 10-week-old puppy, loves me dearly and is very careful in finding me the right situation where I can thrive and succeed. She wants to ensure that all my needs are met.
I am up to date on all of my vaccinations and have been healthy overall--I come with transferable pet insurance, too! Currently, I am just recovering from a UTI that gave me bladder stones, which are almost gone, but will need an acidic diet moving forward so I don't get them again. I will have a clean bill of health before adoption.
It may take me awhile to settle into another family, but am looking forward to having a loving and fulfilling future with my new wonderful people. I come with toys, beds, leashes, treats, food, grooming materials, thundershirt, and cold weather jacket.
If you are interested, please email summitdogrescue@gmail.com to tell them about yourself, your home environment, and lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly.
Yours truly,
Lillah
