Hi there! They call me Sophia. I came to Animal Friends Alliance from the Fort Collins community with my two sisters. We are named after the 3 Olympic soccer stars from Colorado because we love to play with balls! I am still very shy when you approach me and will sometimes run away. If you catch me when I am resting and approach slowly, I will purr and let you pick me up. I am also very motivated by my favorite snack, Churu. Playing with the feather wand and wrestling with my sisters are other sports I enjoy. I have not met any dogs, other cats or children. If you have other pets in your home I would need a slow introduction. Please visit me so I can tell you my story!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
