REX is 1 of 9 puppies that were saved when ACS received the pregnant mama. DOB 4/20/2024. We expect him to get to be 50-60#s when grown. He is a gorgeous puppy with the most beautiful color. He will be the talked about everywhere he goes. Most of the litter resembles Weimaraner with tall, lanky legs and their long nose. This one appears to have a different dad, like many dogs from TX he likely has some pit in him, but he's thinneer so not very much. ? Breeds are really unknown. REX is a very happy pup that needs lots of TLC...and lots of fun and play. He loves to play with other dogs and is in foster with two cats. He needs lots more socialization with humans. . Optimally, a home with another well socialized dog or pup he adores playing with the fosters 1` yr old active GSP puppy. He adores all pups/dogs asap and does great with the cats in his foster home. He is nervous with new people so needs slow introductions with new humans. Hence, that is why we say no children. At least for now, we see him doing BEST in a home with an adult or adults who understand he is sensitive around new people. Although it costs the rescues over $300 in hc and transport not to mention al of his medical is completely done (it costs $800-$4000 to save each one) and that cost several hundreds too, his fee is low so the adopter can have extra for trainers. Rex is very sensitive with new humans. He sleeps through the night, is potty trained, good on a leash and like snuggle with his human.

We will pay for the first session ($100) via zoom with Patti Howard. If you end up returning the dog, during our trial period we typically refund the entire adoption fee but if we have paid for Patti's session, that $100 will not be able to be refunded to you.

Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.

All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/

This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
