Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Philbert. The first thing you will notice about Philbert is his before and after grooming pictures. Doesn't he look handsome. :-)
Philbert was found as a stray in the streets of Sacramento. He was covered in mats and dirt. As alwqys, when a dog is found as a stray, we have no idea how old they are, so we are guessing Philbert is about 9-10 years old. He is a sweet, affectionate, mellow boy. In typical cocker style, he is in his happy place when he is close to his person. Philbert gets along with other dogs, is a good car rider, potty trained, easy to handle and would love to go on walks with you.
Philbert would not do well in an apt or condo. He needs a decent size yard to explore. He also needs to be with someone that can be home with him the majority of the time.
Philbert has a clean bill of health, other than the typical cocker ear and skin infections, due to poor care and neglect. He will be good as new before we know it. Philbert is overweight, so exercise will do him a world of good.
If you are interested in Philbert, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
