Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We must have an application to move forward.
Miss Diesel, aka MISSY, is about 1-1.5 yrs old (estimated DOB 7/1/23). We think she is maybe some Basenji with Carolina Dog mixed in. This PRECIOUS dog was DUMPED at a DOG PARK. Her owners asked a couple there with their dog to HOLD her for moment. Then the owners DROVE AWAY. The dog park couple then left her at the park tied to a bench. She was ABANDONED TWICE. ACS picked her up after that. With everyone scrambling to save this dog, she got posted everywhere and Pet Central Dog Rescue moved fast and saved her from being put to sleep.
She does like other dogs and is great with people. She is curious about cats but I wouldn’t totally trust her alone with one until she's had time to get to know it. She’s not aggressive with the prey instinct. She was not interested in the other animals we have on our ranch such as the pony in the one picture. She is good on the leash and curious about her surroundings. She is currently 55#...and may put on a little more growth…best guess would be about 60-65#s. She will be great as a family dog and wonderful to go on walks, hikes, and to the river. Missy has already been dumped twice…let’s get her a forever home this time.
This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period."
If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
