Ryder––oh how we love this great boy. He’s great with everyone he meets, dogs, AND cats. The trifecta of adoptable dog!
Ryder is approx 1 year old and a compact 35 pounds and fostered in Somerville MA. Though he lives in an urban area, he enjoys his fenced yard very very much. He thrives with routine, structure, and LOVE. He is a champion napper but spends most of his outside time in the yard so leash walking is a work in progress since it hasn't been necessary in his foster home.
Says his foster parents––“Ryder is very sweet and wags his tail immediately upon seeing new people. He loves to cuddle while looking out the window and loves tennis balls. He has warmed up very nicely to both of our dogs and loves to play. He shows interest in the cats but does not chase. He's just curious. He sleeps through the night and his house trained too.
Ryder's favorite activities continue to be:
- Backyard exploration
- Snuggles with humans and dogs alike
- Neighborhood watch from the living room window where he regularly falls asleep on duty!
Ryder is such a sweet snuggly boy. He just wants to cuddle with people or pups. He loves to play tug and keep away with our dogs. Personal space is not in his vocabulary as he sees humans as seats and petting machines. He also loves to follow us around the house and keep tabs on everyone. He does fantastic in his crate at bed time as he is fairly easy to lure in with treats. He doesn't even make a peep until he hears someone get up in the morning.”

All of our pups come with the following:
- spayed or neutered
- age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months)
- health certificates
- dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives
- new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag
- 30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian
- microchip with free registration
- sample of Canidae food that your pup is eating prior to pick up
WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
