Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roxie is a 12 year old female longhaired kitty who was surrendered by her owner due to a new baby in the home. She is a sweet girl, but a typical grumpy senior kitty who loves her attention until she doesn't. She would love to be in a home without children or other kitties and someone who understands her "sour patch kid" demeanor. Her adoption fee is FREE!! She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested negative. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during our open business hours to meet Roxie.

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
