Hi everyone, I am the regal Reggie and here's some information about me:
Breed: Mixed breed of Retriever, Shepherd, Siberian Husky & other?
Age: Birth Date December 14, 2022 (1 yr - 9 months)
Weight: 59 lbs
Height: (ground to shoulder) 23 inches
As one of 8 pups in an accidental litter, I am the second largest, but I'm quite calm and docile. Apparently I have the funniest bark, when I tell you how much I have missed you!
Being the self-appointed leader and adventurer on walks, I really like to walk ahead and explore, but I will return on a whistle. I am always looking for something to move in the bushes, you never know what you'll find. My vocabulary now also includes the word "bunnies". They are very interesting! As a strong and silent type, I am kind of a sole explorer and hunter.
Plenty of treats and positive reinforcement are two of my favourite things. It makes me so proud if you call me a good boy. Give me a collagen stick to chew or a good snuggle and I will be your most loyal fan. I'll do anything to keep you safe and I'm a real lover. Being the affectionate boy I am, given half a chance, I'll lean in and bury my head in your chest.
Generally I am good with cats, but I am also clever and know well to stay away from those claws. I will however prefer to be the only dog in your household.
It's a bit unpredictable how I tend to act around other large dogs. When a large dangerous dog approached us, I naturally wanted to protect my foster and I am not really sure how to repsond to small dogs. Up till now, I have only been with my family pack (mother, brother and sister). My foster typically keeps me on leash in social situations but I get to run off-leash when there's no other dogs around.
Energy level: Moderate
Fears: Bicycles a bit. Skateboards and scooters. I'm not big on fireworks.
Leash skills: Pretty good, but I'm still a work in progress as I'll pull if I see something exciting. Please be patient with me while we work on my training. I do well off leash and am pretty good at returning with a whistle, unless there is a bunny.
House trained: Yes.
Tricks: I can sit, shake a paw and lay down for a treat. Really I'll learn anything quickly if a treat is involved.
Health Notes: There was an accident in April with the side of a moving car. Fortunately, I had no broken bones, but I had some nerve damage and couldn't walk for a week. Amazingly, I sprung back to normal within a month. There's no other health concerns or food allergies. I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and my Rabies shots are up to date.
An adoption fee of $200 applies.

As adopters of overseas dogs will be taking their dog home from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit.
