Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Branson the joy boy will make you feel like a million bucks every time he sees you. He's SO excited to meet new friends or see old ones, that he just can't contain himself. He has to hug you, kiss you, tell you you're the best person alive and that he's so happy to see you. Then he runs a few circles, and *poof* he's a relaxed little angel.
Branson came to us as a stray, but we think he's a 2ish-year-old hound mix, maybe with some lab in there? He hasn't met a single person here he hasn't immediately loved. Though he has an exuberant zest for life, he really is such a good, loving and loyal boy who knows "sit" and is working on "gentle" when taking treats. He's pretty good on a leash once he gets that initial excitement out of his system, and he's kept his kennel clean. Due to his strong hugs and exitability, little kids and cats may not be the best fit. Branson is good with dogs he's met here, so he's open to meeting potential canine siblings. He's neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.

This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.
Additional adoption info
We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
