Parker made his presence known to me in a garden in West Philly near the Mann Music Center. The garden is right off of Parkside Ave, hence the name, Parker. I first saw him while he was drinking out of a muddy puddle. He was starving and emaciated and very much alone. He approached me for some food and pets and I obliged. Soon after, I had him neutered. I tried to arrange a feeding program for him with some of the residents, but this proved difficult. So, he is now learning to live with me as a foster getting love, shelter, and two squares a day.
Parker is a little guy with a really big personality. Whether you are cleaning, lying down, cooking, or at your computer, Parker will be in your business supervising, suggesting, and supporting. He is under a year old and has yet to abandon some of his kittenish ways. He’s interested in everything, until he isn’t. Then it’s off to the couch to have a lie down and some me time. If I’m lying down on the couch having my own me time, than, before you know it, Parker will be there and we will have an our time moment together.
Parker and my other cat, are starting to get along after a slow start. Now I see them hanging out together. Parker uses the litter box like a champ and seems to have adjusted to household life. He is still wolfing down canned food, so I’ve started dialing that back a bit now that he’s eating regularly. He’s much more measured with dry food. I hope you will consider adding this cute, cuddly fellow to your household.
Parker GardenCat is under a year old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
