Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Helix still needs to be neutered before he can leave HSoP. He is not on the schedule to be neutered yet, but can still accept visitors and applications while we wait!*
Meet Helix!
This sweetie pie of a dog arrived at HSoP as a stray and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. We estimate Helix to be around a year old, so he still has plenty of years to spend by your side!
Helix is a lovely dog who has an understandable veil of stranger danger with new people. He's apprehensive of you for just a short time, until you show him that you're only there to play and be his friend. Once Helix begins to trust you, he'll reveal just how lovely he really is. Helix is a big baby and enjoys flopping over for belly rubs. He thinks that hugging people is just a way to show his love, so he'll likely need reminders to stay down. He doesn't know how to sit on command quite yet, so it's not clear if he ever received training.
This guy is a mix of several breeds, and he'll need plenty of exercise to stay happy and healthy! Helix would greatly appreciate an owner who can take him on regular walks and adventures outside the house. The more he gets outside, the more he can continue to build his confidence with new people and new surroundings!
We think that Helix would thrive with a dedicated owner who has quality time to spend with him each day. Helix is a loyal dog and will likely be right by your side whenever he gets the choice.
Since he arrived at the shelter as a stray, we have no knowledge of how Helix behaves around dogs, cats, or children in a home setting. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to help ensure a good fit, and require all dogs to meet any canine in the home prior to leaving HSoP.
Those interested in Helix are welcome to visit him at HSoP. Our dog kennels are open from 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday with no appointments needed, just stop by when you have some time! Helix will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped with his new owner's information by the time he goes home. Helix's adoption fee is $135.
