My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MY ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED AUGUST 19 - 25 AS PART OF OUR DOG ADOPTATHON !!!

Meet Tyler, a sweet and sensitive 3-year-old with a heart of gold. Tyler is the perfect companion for leisurely walks and cozy couch sessions, always ready to relax and enjoy a peaceful day with you. Though he can be a bit nervous and takes his time to warm up, his gentle nature and affectionate spirit are well worth the wait. Tyler might do well with a confident dog buddy to help guide him and build his confidence. If you`re looking for a loving, low-key friend who will appreciate your patience and kindness, Tyler is eager to find his forever home with you.

Additional adoption info

Come in during open hours 11:30am-5pm if you see an animal you are interested in adopting!

Our Northeast Animal Shelter(NEAS) location also allows you to submit an inquiry online prior to visiting the shelter. Submitting an inquiry is not a hold, reservation, or guarantee on an animal adoption, it just gives NEAS a bit more information on you and allows staff to email you additional information on our adoption process.

We ask that you be in a position to adopt the day you visit with an animal. Our goal with adoption is to find a great match and have the animal stay in care for the least amount of time possible.

See www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ for more information on adopting from the MSPCA-Angell Northeast Animal Shelter.

More about this shelter

Northeast Animal Shelter, established in 1976, is now part of the MSPCA-Angell, giving us a better opportunity to serve our community, provide additional life-saving programs and services, and protect more animals from cruelty and neglect.

Our adoption program is designed to be welcoming, nonjudgmental, and free of lengthy applications. We strive to engage all prospective adopters in a conversation aimed at matching an adopter’s lifestyle, interests and home environment with an animal’s personality, medical and behavioral needs. Adopting an animal is an extraordinary opportunity to choose your newest family member. At the MSPCA it is a great privilege for our staff and volunteers to guide that journey for adopters and animals.
