Meet Paras!

Paras is a young domestic shorthair cat.

Paras was surrendered to us due to too many animals in the home.

Paras is an affectionately sweet little guy. He has gone through many changes in a short amount of time and is still adjusting to his new shelter life. Paras will need a home with lots of patience and care to be able to fully acclimate him. Our adoption counselors will be happy to go over how best to let him open up in your home.

Paras has lived with other cats and we are sure he would enjoy another feline friend! All household pets should be be introduced slowly.

Paras will be neutered prior to adoption, has received core vaccinations (Feline Distemper, Rabies), has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
