My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet John Lennon, an adorable tabby who came to the shelter (with his brother) as a stray. Despite a challenging start, this resilient boy is on his way to a healthy and happy life. John Lennon is a tad bit cautious, but once you burrito wrap him and offer kisses, cuddles, and scritches, he melts into a sweet, affectionate companion. With a patient owner who understands his need for a gentle adjustment period and a little time and love, John will thrive in a forever home. Adopt this charming boy today!

John Lennon has been neutered, received all his vaccinations, is flea and parasite treated and is microchipped, making him fully prepared for his forever home.

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
