My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mocha is looking for a lap. Are you looking for a lap dog with a cute face and sweet personality? Mocha is a three year-old 54 pound American terrier pit that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/5 as a stray. She has very recently had a litter and hasn’t even dried up yet! She looks healthy, but I did notice that she has calluses on her elbows indicating she’s probably spend a lot of time on concrete. If she could have one wish she would wish that she would be adopted by a loving family that would keep her as an inside dog! She promises to be a good girl. She doesn’t seem to know the sit command, but she is highly motivated by treats, so she should be easy to train. She has a happy tail. It never stopped wagging! Mocha is friendly, easy-going, sweet, loving, and well mannered. She doesn’t jump on you. She comes when you call her. She was not interested in meeting other dogs. She did her business as soon as she got out into the yard. She does have a strong pull on the leash.
