Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello there, my name is Earl. Me and my friends all came from Miami from a pretty rough situation. We were very neglected, and as a result of not having human interaction, I am quite shy at first. The neglect that I have gone through has also resulted in me not being able to see very well. Despite all the tragedy of my upbringing, when you spend some time with me in a nice, quiet place I have finally started to open up to my caretakers. I have started to approach willingly to be leashed up, I'm eating much better, and I am even allowing myself to be petted! It's still going to take a lot of time and patience to give me the confidence to truly be a dog, but despite my fear of loud sounds, reflections, and strangers, I know there's a very kind, good dog in me. I get along well with other dogs (though it's best if they're gentle) and my small size makes me a good fit for an apartment. I need a quiet, calm environment, so please no kids, but seniors are totally fine. I may get scared and bolt, so to keep me safe I need to have a secure fence if I live somewhere with a yard, and I need to be securely on leash if I'm on a walk. A baby gate at the door will help a lot too! I know this sounds like a lot, but I promise I really am a good boy. I just need time (and maybe some treats) to help me understand that I am safe now. If you have room in your heart for me, please ask about me!
