My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snickers had a place she lived for the 12 years of her life. But it was not a good one. From kittenhood she was made to live outside by herself even though she wanted to be in with the family. She had done nothing to be banned from the home, but one of the family members would not allow her to be inside. There was no real place made for her to live outside. She hovered wherever she could find shelter out of the elements. She was fed but that was the extent of her care.

Now that Snickers is inside a home with loving people, she LOVES it. She does also love to go outside at times but having a family who loves her enough to share their warm, comfy home with her is a blessing that she never experienced before. She has had no problem fitting in to the home. She is just fine with the dogs in the house, not so well adjusted with the other cats since she didn't have much experience with them in the past. But she does very much love the kindness and love of the humans who welcome her as a loved one.

This wonderful girl will need a family to give her what she has been missing for so long--a home that they share with her and lots of love. She has great house manners and will be an easy fit into a home with loving people and gentle dogs.

She's in Soldotna. Call or text 907 953-0333

Additional adoption info

Clear Creek Cat Rescue rehomes kitties based on 'best fit' approach. We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Dur to pandemic, we are doing virtual adoptions and slowly transitioning to in person. Our cats are available for adoption from their foster homes located all over southcentral Alaska.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
