My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Cowboy: Your Future Feline-Friendly Best Friend!**

Cowboy is a charming medium mixed breed with a heart as big as his name suggests. We don't actually know of course, but we think he may possibly be a Corgi/Chihuahua mix of some kind. He currently only weighs 26lbs making him apartment and renter friendly. This handsome fellow is in search of a forever home where he can be the center of attention and the only canine star. While Cowboy may not be the best fit for a household with other dogs, he absolutely adores cats and will get along famously with your feline friends.

Cowboy is so happy to see us in the morning and has quickly become a volunteer favorite. In him, you'll find a loyal and devoted companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin. He’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, ready to join you on adventures or cuddle up for a cozy evening at home.

Cowboy's Ideal Home:
- **No other dogs:** Cowboy prefers to be the solo dog in the household.
- **Cat lovers welcome:** His love for cats makes him a great addition to a cat-friendly home.
- **Patience pays off:** Give Cowboy a little time to get to know you, and you'll be rewarded with his unwavering loyalty and affection.

If you’re looking for a devoted, cat-loving companion who will be your steadfast friend, Cowboy is the perfect match for you. Come meet Cowboy and see if he’s the missing piece to your family puzzle!

You can apply for him on our website at EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org/adoptable-pets

His adoption fee is $200 and this includes his neuter, vaccines, negative heart worm test, montly flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention, and microchip.
