Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Max, a resilient 15-year-old, blue-eyed boy with a heart full of love. He came to us declawed.
After the passing of his previous owner, Max faced a tough transition to a new home, where he hid in fear and confusion. This led to a severe UTI that turned into a kidney infection, bringing him to the brink of euthanasia. But then we stepped in, and with the dedicated care from Palmer Veterinary Clinic and his foster, Max made a remarkable recovery.
Now, Max is back to his fun-loving self! Though he takes a little time to warm up to new people, once he does, he becomes the most affectionate and cuddly companion you could ask for. He loves napping and cuddling next to you, purring away contentedly. Max adores head scratches and being petted, and when he's up and about, his age doesn't show—he can jump and run like a much younger cat. Max would thrive in a home with a cozy hiding place where he can take his naps and feel secure, such as a closet or a small, dark space. He’s fine with dogs that leave him alone. He was with a cat in his previous home, but hasn’t been with another cat for over 6 years now, we are unsure how he would do. While he hasn't been around kids in his current foster home, his gentle nature suggests he could adapt well to older kids. We think Max may enjoy visits to the yard on warm days to lounge with his family.
Max is declawed and meticulously keeps his litter in the litter box, making him an easy-maintenance cat. If you're looking for a loving, easy-going, and low-maintenance companion, Max is ready to fill your home with warmth and affection.
