My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Check out this handsome guy!

Wally was surrendered to us when his owners were unable to keep him and his 3 other pup friends who have found new homes now! He is a 1.5-year-old Spaniel/Pit mix. He still has a lot of puppy energy, but he is on the smaller side, just over 30 lbs.! Wally is looking for a home without kitties but could possibly be placed in a home with another dog with slow introductions. He would do best with a bit more submissive dog.

Wally loves to play in water, fetch toys, and zoom around. He is fiercely loyal and loves his human. While he is ready for any and all adventures, he also loves to snuggle up with you and relax while getting some pets. He never misses a meal and prefers all of the treats! He is a chewer and enjoys Nylabone's and other tough dog toys...although, he will always succeed in destroying them.

Wally definitely could benefit from more one on one training teaching some basic skills. He’s working on potty training and boundaries in his foster home! He’s a goody and friendly dog who’s sure to bring a lot of joy your way. He LOVES to go on walks and does excellent on a leash!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We have a short questionnaire that can be filled out before or during the meet and greet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

2.

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. This may happen during the meet and greet or via phone before a meet and greet.

3.

Meet the Pet

4.

Pay Fee

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $175.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Take the Pet Home

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Go meet their pets

Come meet our cats Tuesday through Friday from 1 pm to 3 pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. While we currently don't have dogs in the building, we do have dogs in foster care. If you're interested in meeting one of them, please contact us to arrange a time with their foster family.
