My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Amy, the enchanting feline with a heart as big as her quiet purrs! This adult cat has gracefully raised six adorable kittens, proving her motherly prowess and nurturing spirit. Despite her reserved nature, Amy is a master of playful antics and can turn any feather toy into her personal prey with impressive agility and wit.

When she's not chasing imaginary mice or perfecting her pounce, Amy loves to snuggle up for cuddle sessions where she shows off her affectionate side. She's a smart cookie too, always curious about her surroundings and ready to explore new nooks and crannies.

Amy's dignified demeanor adds an air of sophistication to her playful antics. She enjoys lounging in sunny spots and observing the world with a quiet wisdom that only adds to her charm. Once she warms up to you, expect gentle headbutts and soothing purrs to let you know you've earned her trust.

If you're ready to invite a loving and playful companion into your home, Amy is all set to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of snuggles to her forever family. Adopt Amy today and discover the delightful adventure of having a smart, affectionate, and ever-playful furry friend by your side.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We have a short, one page, questionnaire that will be filled out prior to meeting the pet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

2.

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. Since we do not have a brick and mortar facility, we will do this via phone before a meet and greet.

3.

Meet the Pet

We will arrange with the foster parent a time that works for everyone and offer same day adoptions.

4.

Pay Fee

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $175.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Take the Pet Home

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Go meet their pets

Currently, AGC is operating without a facility as a rescue group. If you are interested in meeting our adoptable pets, please contact us and we will coordinate with our foster families to set up a meet & greet.

More about this rescue

All God's Creatures (AGC) is a non-profit community service initiated by the First Presbyterian Church for the welfare of animals and people. We see an immense need for an animal shelter in Henry County. We also see the need to befriend socially isolated neighbors like the elderly, veterans, the incarcerated, and disabled. We believe our shelter and volunteer programming will give hope, purpose, and friendship as we connect paws and people. We are currently operating as a rescue while we raise funds to renovate our building and open our shelter doors.
