My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Lilo, the endearing male kitten whose delicate demeanor and sweet disposition make him a true gem in the world of furry companions. With a plush coat as soft as his heart, Lilo approaches life with a gentle touch, taking his time to forge connections that are as deep as they are meaningful.

Lilo's journey to trust is a testament to his sensitivity and intuition. He navigates new environments with cautious curiosity, his bright eyes filled with a blend of wonder and a hint of hesitation. Yet, behind his initial reserve lies a soul brimming with love and a longing for companionship.

In the presence of patient souls who understand his need for time and appropriate introductions, Lilo transforms into a loyal friend and devoted companion. He plays well with other animals and people once he feels safe, his interactions characterized by gentleness and mutual respect. His endearing gestures and affectionate nature reveal the depths of his bond with those he holds dear. Whether it's peacefully lounging in a cozy nook or engaging in gentle exploration, Lilo finds joy in quiet moments and shared experiences.

At the heart of Lilo's charm is his ability to teach us the beauty of sensitivity. He reminds us that true connections are worth the wait and that trust, once earned, is a precious gift. With each purr and every tender nuzzle, Lilo leaves an indelible imprint on those lucky enough to know him, proving that sensitivity is not a vulnerability but a superpower that enriches every life it touches.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We have a short, one page, questionnaire that will be filled out prior to meeting the pet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

2.

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. Since we do not have a brick and mortar facility, we will do this via phone before a meet and greet.

3.

Meet the Pet

We will arrange with the foster parent a time that works for everyone and offer same day adoptions.

4.

Pay Fee

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $175.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Take the Pet Home

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Go meet their pets

Currently, AGC is operating without a facility as a rescue group. If you are interested in meeting our adoptable pets, please contact us and we will coordinate with our foster families to set up a meet & greet.

More about this rescue

All God's Creatures (AGC) is a non-profit community service initiated by the First Presbyterian Church for the welfare of animals and people. We see an immense need for an animal shelter in Henry County. We also see the need to befriend socially isolated neighbors like the elderly, veterans, the incarcerated, and disabled. We believe our shelter and volunteer programming will give hope, purpose, and friendship as we connect paws and people. We are currently operating as a rescue while we raise funds to renovate our building and open our shelter doors.
