Merida is an absolutely adorable little kitten who came Fancy Cats with the rest of her Disney-themed family including her sisters: Jasmine, Belle and Ariel and brother Alladin. Merida was born in late May and is now ready for adoption, ideally with one of her siblings. She has a fluffy medium-length soft coat. It’s tough to tell at this age how long her hair will grow but mom’s coat is medium and fluffy. Merida is fairly quiet unless it’s mealtime and then you can hear her (and her siblings) from the next state! However, Merida has a huge purr and loves interacting with her foster humans.
Merida is currently the most inquisitive of her siblings. She followed the foster everywhere to see what’s happening. She will need a home that is committed to continuing to teach her proper house manners especially when it comes to climbing and getting into situations where curiosity shouldn’t lead her. She likes to be held for short timeframes and will climb into her human’s lap or one her shoes when given the chance. However, at this distractable age, she isn’t quick to jump in & out of a lap unless she is tuckered out from playing. When not being held or fed, she zooms all over the room playing with her siblings, squeaky toys or balls. Merida is friendly, outgoing and sweet-natured. She and her siblings use their litter box faithfully, but they do need reinforcement on using a scratching post. They have started using the post but will need gentle reminders of the correct place to scratch.
Merida is curious about other animals! She plays footsie under the door with the foster’s resident cat and will likely do well in a home with another calm, friendly pet. She and her sibling have met the foster’s gentle dog with no issues.
Please note that it is Fancy Cats’ policy that kittens have an age-appropriate playmate in the home. We also do not adopt kittens to families with children under six years old without seeing appropriate history/experience with cats.
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchip.
