My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET JAKE, 2-year-old stunning Australian Shepherd with a freckled nose. He weighs only 35 pounds, and was rescued from a crowded California shelter. He's currently in the Greater Seattle area. Jake is an incredibly smart and protective dog - he loves his people completely, and will protect your home and yard. As such, he needs a fenced yard or could live in an apartment with an experienced adopter. He would do well with an active person or people who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. He would do best in an adult-only home, or with children over the age of 14. Jake is an incredibly loyal and loving dog. Please email for an application.

More about this rescue

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs and cats annually. We are an all-breed rescue, and do not shy away from tough cases. We believe all animals deserve a chance at a happy life, and we do our best to match people with their new pets. Every time a dog is adopted, it makes room for another needy dog, most often in an overcrowded shelter.

We adopt dogs/cats to people on the West Coast but also to other states as well, as we believe that animal lovers are everywhere! Please consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs or cats.
