Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Laika is a beautiful 2-year old female American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier who was surrendered by her owner on August 1, 2024 along with Laika's handsome companion (Dezik) since their family was no longer in a position to take care of their beloved pets.
Laika has a snow white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable brown-and-white face with expressive brown eyes, a blue/charcoal gray nose on her chubby muzzle, and large brown floppy ears which are 'sprinkled' with brown/white spots.
This sweet girl is understandably uneasy being in an unfamiliar place with so many other dogs nearby after being in a home of her own with her best friend Dezik (who is possibly her brother). Laika tried her best to put on her 'happy face' for photos on August 2nd 2024, and she trusted HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech Jared Nash who gave her the gentle encouragement she needed (and loved) to face the camera with Jared by her side.
Laika is the larger of the pair and weighs 77 lbs.
Laika is hoping to find another individual or family who would love her again.
Laika will be spayed before being adopted by her new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized). Laika could be fostered while she awaits her spay procedure with an approved HSOV foster-/adoption application.
