If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
She’s a very sweet dog who just wants to be loved! She’s very protective of our family. She’s sweet and tolerant with our children but not welcoming to outside people/kids coming into our home. A family with teenagers or older children would be a better fit. She needs a family who has more time to devote to her. She did well with obedience training & I believe will do very well with someone who can be consistent in working with her. She’s anxious during storms requiring medication. So living outside full time is really not an option for her. Unfortunately, with very small children, we don’t have the time she deserves to devote to her anymore. She needs and would love a family who can work with her and help her with her social needs. We have a cat that she gets along with. We had another dog when we adopted her and they got along great. Since that dog died, she has struggled socially.
