Welcome Fortune to CCPAL Rescue. Fortune is a 3 month old Lab mix/Beagle puppy. He currently weighs about 13 pounds. He should be 65 pounds full grown. He has webbed feet so he should be a good swimmer. He loves other dogs and all people. He is not shy but he is a very outgoing dog. We are working on leash walking and he is doing very well. He is a smart boy and attentive and has nice eye contact. He would be great with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. His favorite dog at the rescue is Birdie. We think he thinks she is his mom. She isn’t but she watches after him and takes care of him. It is an adorable match up. He is getting all 3 puppy Distemper/Parvo vaccines. He will also be neutered soon and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. You can download it off our site or we will email the application

Approve Application

Once we verify and approve we will do an interview and have you speak to the foster mom for specifics on behavior

3.
Pay Fee

We are then ready to arrange for the dog to be delivered to your area.

Additional adoption info

You will fill out an application. We will call references, do a background check and call your vet. We will then do an interview with you and let you speak to the foster mom or kennel staff that know the dogs best. Once completed we are ready to set up transport to your area. Our adoption fee is 200 and transport aboard Rescue Road Trips is 185.

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County. We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Our fostering program & training classes socialize pets & help make them more adoptable. Since February 2002, C.C.P.A.L. has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We currently house 100+ dogs and puppies and are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them permanent homes.
