Tillie is an active and energetic 5-year-old, 5-pound, female Yorkshire Terrier. She is loving and enjoys the attention she is getting from her foster family.
Tillie follows her foster mom from room to room and loves to be on the couch beside her. Tillie is VERY quick around doorways, so her new family needs to be vigilant to keep her from slipping out. Since Tillie loves to be close to her human, she can get underfoot and could be a tripping hazard to those with balance issues. She will be your shadow everywhere you go in the house. It is a challenge to keep her from following her foster parents when they leave the house. She does not want to be without them!
Tillie is still working on housetraining. She will need someone with patience and willingness to take her out regularly for her to be successful. She has just started leash training.
Tillie could be an only dog or preferably have another dog under 12 pounds in the home. We require an all-adult home with a small securely fenced yard for Tillie.
The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com.
There is an application process and adoption fee.
WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR TILLIE’S ADOPTIVE HOME. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches and attached to the home, this is required to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace (without grass), temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.
We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.
Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.
Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.
Adoption Fee: $500
