Meet the Pet
LA transplants: silver & white Messi (the soccer player’s namesake) and Leo, the black panther with incredibly soft fur. These bothers almost immediately transitioned, from the moment they left California to deplaning at RDU on June 27th, they seem to understand the plan. Quite a feat considering they immediately entered a house with 3 other cats! They came from a quiet home where they were the only babies. They occupied a bedroom for a while to properly decompress. They are big boys, around 12-14 lbs, and pure love-bugs. Their human Mom has been providing creature comforts from Amazon, things they were used to in their LA home, as she wants the best for them to help with their acclimation. Mom has always put her feline babies first, and when she learned she was terminal, she knew it was in their best interest to make the heart breaking decision to try to rehome them wile they were young and she could be present during their transition. Mom was well aware of Sparkle Cat Rescue and dreamed of such a rescue taking her babies in. Thanks to Stephanie, her dream came true. I’ve been working with Stephanie for months to transport them, then care for them until a foster or real home could be found. They are fully vetted and will have all their toys and litter boxes to help them feel at home during their next step to a forever home. I think they like the idea of becoming NC Sparkle Cats!
