Yoda is a loving guy and wants to be with his person as much as possible. He is a high spirited boy and has a lot of energy for his small size, so loves to play. Yoda is in a foster home with a group of dogs, he gets along with all; males and females from a Shih Tzu to a Basset Hound mix. Due to Yoda's energy level a fenced yard would be ideal but he could also do well with an active owner who likes walks. Yoda is vocal and has a tendency to bark indoors, we have been working with him on this, and due to this he would not be good in an apartment living situation. Toddlers and small children would not be good with Yoda because he jumps and tends to nibble, he has not outgrown the puppy stage yet ! Older respectful children would be fine. Yoda may be small but he has a huge appetite and he will not hesitate to steal food whenever he has the chance, even if that is out of your hands so he will need training for this. Yoda is crate trained and does well in his crate for shorter periods, like shopping and errands, He will sleep in a crate if you choose but he prefers to curl up and sleep with his person. This guy is a wonderful companion who likes to curl up on the couch and watch movies. If you are interested in Yoda fill out an application and come to meet him.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
