Since Cedar startles easily, she prefers walking in quiet areas where she won't encounter a lot of strangers, loud noises, or dogs. Also, a securely fenced-in yard is a must and having a dog-door is even better. It has become clear that Cedar trusts women much more than men and will need to have a woman as her primary person. She loves her foster dad but only when her foster mom is home. She does have some separation anxiety, so she is looking for a woman who either works from home or is retired. Cedar currently sleeps well in her crate every night but would probably love sleeping with her person once she feels safe.
Cedar has gotten along well with the other five dogs in her foster home, relying on them for comfort and joining in at barking at the wildlife. She doesn't often play with her foster siblings but does readily snuggle up to dogs and humans alike. Cedar would do best living with at least one other considerate, gentle dog. Cedar has a wonderful personality, is a fairly low-maintenance dog and has been a joy to her foster family. She's also as cute as a button and she loves blankets especially when they are just out of the warm dryer! See more photos of this sweet girl at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/cedar .
