My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Once upon a time, in a small Michigan city, there lived an orange kitten. This kittens life began on the streets, where he faced hunger, cold, and the dangers of outdoor life. But fate smiled upon him when he was rescued by a kind-hearted couple. This couple contacted Little Mews rescue and a foster welcomed him into her home. He was named Hudson, after the city in which he was found.

Hudson's light orange fur, bright yellow eyes, and loud purr quickly won over the hearts of the foster family. They knew they had to find him a loving forever home. Hudson didnt escape some of the trauma of being left outside, alone. He is really shy, and takes a while to trust, but when he does, he will vibrate your house with his purrs.

One day, a young couple came to a Little Mews adoption event, looking for a furry companion to add to their family. As they walked through, they saw Hudson. Poor guy was scared in the corner, but they saw through his fears, and were willing to teach him to trust them!

Will that family be you?

More about this rescue

Little Mews is an all volunteer, non profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization. We take in cats and kittens from a variety of situations, most are stray, unwanted, neglected or abused. We can also refer you to other organizations in the area that have dogs, cats and other animals for adoption and have information about low cost spay and neuter options.

All our cats and kittens who are ready for adoption have been checked by a vet, vaccinated for FVRCP, rabies (if over 4 months), tested for Feline Leukemia, FIV, wormed, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Any health conditions are treated so that the cats can be adopted as healthy as possible.

Our goal is to find safe, healthy, forever homes for cats and to promote spay/neuter so that the number of unwanted cats is lowered every year. We want each cat and kitten adopted to a home where it will live forever.
