My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Frankie was brought in by his previous owner on July 28, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing Frankie, a true virtuoso in the world of whiskers and waltzes! This suave kitty comes from a home with a full orchestra of other cats, and he's looking for a new symphony to join. Frankie's solo career isn't for him; he absolutely needs a feline duet partner to keep the melody of his life in harmony. Frankie thrives in a peaceful concert hall, so no young children or barking dogs, please. His preferred tempo is adagio-slow and leisurely-so he'll need a patient conductor who understands that the best bonds are built without force. Are you ready to compose a beautiful life symphony with Frankie? Adopt this feline maestro and let the performance begin! Don't forget to bring a secure cat carrier for a safe transport home!

Shy/Fearful Cat:  Frankie requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
