Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lacey is an active and silly one-year-old Golden Retriever/ Pitbull mix (according to her previous owner). She surrendered to us because her owner couldn't handle her energy. She is looking for an active adopter as she loves playing with her toys and going on long hikes. Lacey knows many commands, including sit, wait, down, and paw. She is allowed free rein in her foster home because she is so well-behaved. She is strong on the leash, but her foster family is working on that. She is a sweet girl who is friendly with all humans and dogs. She previously lived with young kids and did well but is very strong so dog-savvy kids would likely be best. She is spayed and up to date on all of her vet care.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our adoption fee for dogs ages 7 months â 7 years is $500. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
