For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Dakota! I'm a loyal and playful guy who wants nothing more than to be part of a family. I have been in foster care for a while now, my foster family has no clue why! I am around 9 months old and am the perfect size at just 30 pounds. One thing about me, I love being outdoors! My foster family takes me along walking trails and lets me play in the creek. It's the highlight of my day! I also enjoy playing with other dogs and I don't seem to mind cats. After a good walk I love to hangout on the couch or curl up on a soft blanket. I am wonderfully house and crate trained and I, of course, love treats! If you're an outdoorsy type of person, or even just someone who needs a walking buddy, I'm your guy! I promise to be loyal and love you unconditionally as long as you promise to do the same. Adopt me so we can start our lifelong journey together!
Dakota has been neutered, microchipped and kept current on vaccines and preventatives. You can email julianshumate@gmail.com with any questions or fill out an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/julians. To ensure your application was received please email the foster home. You can expect an email response within a week of applying.
