I'm Remmy, a charming 9-year-old Basset mix who came to BROOD when my previous family could no longer care for me. My sweet, easy-going, and laid-back personality makes me a wonderful addition to any family!
I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and do great on a leash or during car rides. While I'm a bit shy when meeting new people, I warm up quickly to new faces and places. I get along well with everyone, including kids and other dogs, though older children who understand my shyness might be the best fit for me.
Even though I'm a bit older, I'm still quite active and love playing with and chasing after balls! I'd be happy in a home with a fenced yard, but I'd also do well in an apartment or condo setting.
I enjoy the company of other dogs but would be just as content as the only dog in the home. I thrive on attention and affection from my people and am always happy and easygoing. My cheerful demeanor and lovable nature are sure to bring a smile to your face!
If you're ready for a loyal and loving companion who's always up for a game of ball, contact BROOD today and let's make each other's day! My adoption fee is $150.00.
**Only BROOD-approved adopters can meet a dog (no exceptions). Our adoption application is on the BROOD website at https://brood-va.org/adoptionapp/. We adopt to residents of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania. Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state. We require a virtual home visit and a veterinary reference.
The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record. ***BROOD's adoption fees are determined based on the age of the dog. 08/04/2024
