Sammy is a fun, active guy seeking a home with a few comfy beds, a couple good squeaky toys and some fun humans to call his own! Sammy is a young boy and would benefit from a home where he will get to learn new skill through positive reinforcement training, but we've learned that he is a smart boy (and is treat motivated too) and will learn quickly. Sammy has been a favorite in our Field Trip for Shelter Dogs program, making an amazing hiking buddy every time he goes out! Though young and active, Sammy is also an affectionate boy looking for a family that will enjoy plenty of dog cuddles too.

Once you have filled out the adoption questionnaire, our Adoptions team will follow up with you via phone or email as soon as possible. If we are a match, the Adoptions team will schedule a meet and greet appointment at the shelter. If you have any questions regarding our adoption process, please reach out to us at adopt@hihs.org. Please note: Our shelters are open for walk-in visits on Friday-Tuesday, from 10am to 3pm; all adoptions are by appointment only.
