Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
At 75 healthy pounds, Baloo is the dog for someone who likes a whole lotta dog! He's a big, squishy, snuggly guy who is ready to take up a lot of space in your heart and on your couch. Baloo is gentle and friendly with new people, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Although Baloo is a big boy, he is also a big love! He knows several cues such as "sit" and "paw" and even learned to dry his mouth after drinking in his previous foster home. He is treat motivated which also makes positive reinforcement training a breeze. Baloo is relaxed and comfortable in the home, and is even great on outings in town.
In late 2022, Baloo suffered incredibly painful injuries which required multiple surgeries to repair and left him with scars on his legs and body. Due to the sensitive nature of what happened to Baloo, we cannot publicly disclose the details of what occurred but what we can share is that it took a team of people to save his life. We are grateful to our partners at Hawai'i County Animal Control and Protection Agency for getting Baloo the help that he needed.
Now, a year later, fully healed, with a heart of gold, our Baloo is looking for a life with much more than the ''bare necessities'' (though, he's such an easy-going guy that this pup could rest at ease, with just the bare necessities of life.) He is healthy and thriving - and deserves to know all about the good things in life. Baloo, like his namesake from The Jungle Book, has seemingly forgotten all about his worries and his strife.
