Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
15-year-old Fingers was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program after the passing of his beloved mom. He is very gentle soul who deserves a loving home where he can receive the comfort and care he deserves and a cozy spot to rest.
Fortunately, Fingers is thriving being in a foster home. Here's an update from his foster family:
Fingers has a few health issues, but he's managing them with a little extra care. He's in stage 2 kidney disease, but he's keeping stable with a special diet. While his body condition was poor, a wholesome diet has him on the mend: he has gained 5 lbs.! Fingers is taking medication to ease his anxiety and help with CCD (canine cognitive dysfunction). He's such a trooper and happily takes his meds in turkey!
Fingers enjoys a little company when he eats-he loves knowing someone is nearby, and his foster stands beside him to make sure he's steady on his feet, as he can sometimes wobble. He's definitely a meat-loving pup with a soft spot for roasted chicken treats!
Fingers is perfectly happy with short sniffing sessions around the yard, where he loves to wander. He loves sniffing for bunnies, and his eyes light up when they play hide-and-seek.
Fingers prefers to potty outside on his own when doors are open. When indoors, he wears a belly band since he has to go often and doesn't always make it outside in time.
Fingers is wonderfully gentle with other dogs, preferring calm friends since he can be knocked over easily. He joins in the excitement when everyone's lively, barking with happiness as long as no one bumps him too hard.
People? Fingers absolutely adores them. He's a leaner and will nuzzle right into you, happy just to be close and bask in your love. He'll follow you anywhere his legs allow, and if he can't see you, he'll go searching.
Fingers needs a special home-one with a yard and someone who's around often to give him the love and stability he craves. He's a simple soul with simple wishes: a cozy bed, gentle companionship, and the soft touch of a loving hand.
If you have feel a calling to be the family Fingers needs at this stage in his life, please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org.
