My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fingers!

The past several months have been very difficult for 15-year-old Fingers. Entrusted to us through the Final Wish Program after the passing of his beloved mom, he's been navigating a world of change and loss. Losing his mom and leaving the only home he's ever known has been very hard on him.

Fingers is gentle soul who deserves a loving home where he can experience love, safety, and comfort for the remainder of his life. He has been on two Frosted Flings to receive extra TLC, and this is what we have learned about Fingers:

* He is the sweetest boy, and his joy in life is simply being pet and scratched on his head and the back of his neck.

* He would love a family that lets him sleep in bed with them, as he feels more at ease when he can snuggle up.

* He goes to the door when he needs to potty, because he had access to doggie door for 15 years in in his previous home. His age, combined with kidney disease, means that he now has to potty frequently.

* He is good with other dogs but is no longer interested in playing and just walks away. He also coexists nicely with cats!

* He enjoys going for short walks and relaxing in the sun.

* His appetite varies, and he can be a picky eater. Fortunately, he is currently enjoying wet kidney food at mealtime.

We are looking for a special family willing to provide Fingers with a quiet, loving home where he can receive the comfort and care he deserves and a cozy spot to rest and enjoy his golden years.

In the meantime, Fingers is currently getting extra TLC in a Fling home. His Fling mom shares: "Fingers is enjoying good food, soft beds, having a fling mom and dad who understand he has some challenges and are ok with that, and being surrounded by friends. He doesn't ask for much; freedom to get his steps in, a soft bed to rest in and a little loving."
