Cooper is 3 1/2 collie/aussie mix and an all-around great dog. He enjoys playing with toys both by himself and with others. He also enjoys playing outside and cuddling inside. Cooper likes the company of people and other dogs equally. Once outside, he prefers to play first before exploring or getting down to business. He enjoys treats and is easy to motivate. Cooper likes puzzles and quickly learns new tricks. He also wants to be part of the action in the house.
Cooper’s prior owner reported that he disliked bigger dogs and bulldogs. However, his foster said he reads dogs very well. If their cats run, Cooper will give chase; however, he likes cats, so dog-savvy cats will do fine with him. When his fosters leave, he takes a little bit to settle down because he wants to be with his people. Cooper also reads people well, and therefore is intuitive with how to behave with them.
Cooper’s fosters describe him as resilient, playful, friendly and loving. When he wants attention, he squeaks a toy until he gets it. Don’t try to take it from him, though. He’s quick and turns it into a game of keep away. If that ploy doesn’t work, he will put a paw on your arm or leg to ask you to pet him. Cooper is, as the saying goes, “all that and a bag of chips,” and he is waiting for his forever people.
