My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a darling puppy! You can’t help but fall in love with a puppy, but remember they take a lot of time and commitment but are worth every minute. Annie is an active youngster and enjoys playing with both people and other dogs. She is a bundle of love and joy, eager to motivate, playful and curious. She is all about being a happy puppy and radiates it to you. As you watch her, her whole body wriggles with happiness. She does fine in the crate if she doesn’t see you and right now is there with her sister. There will be an adjustment to being crated by herself. Housetraining and living with cats are doing well but still in progress.

Annie is independent and smart. She loves engaging with people and other dogs and, of course, making you smile with her cute puppy antics.

Annie came to Almost Home at six weeks old on July 12. Dates are not usually important here but puppies grow up so fast we want you to know her current age.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs please go directly to www.almosthomeohio.org for an application. Once the application is submitted, our adoption team can discuss the information on the application with you to determine if one of our dogs would be a good fit for your home. Lastly, a home visit will be done either by one of our volunteers or another reputable rescue volunteer in your area. We do adopt out of state, but it is up to the adopter to come meet and take the dog home. Sound like a lot to go through for a dog? It really isn't as complicated as it seems and it's the best way to ensure a good match. Please contact adoptions@almosthomeohio.org with any additional questions you may have after reviewing the information on our website.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue of Ohio is made up of a small (but growing) group of enthusiastic volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs. Our background is with purebred collies and collie mixes but on occasion, we have other "family friendly" breeds. If you are searching for a collie, we'd like to help you find a wonderful companion that fits your family's lifestyle. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They have also been tested and are negative for heartworm and are on heartworm preventative.
