Wilma is an 8 month old dilute calico, who is heavy on the "looks" and still working on the "personality"! Entering the shelter as a feral kitten, Wilma has come incredibly far and has grown to be much more social thanks to the hard work of her caretakers. She is learning to trust people, and enjoys bonding with back scratches! She will arch her back up and nuzzle at people for more rubs, and enjoys gentle socialization with treats and lots of talking nicely to her. While she may not be the most immediately loving cat, Wilma will absolutely form a special and rewarding bond with her humans as they show her with time and patience, people can be trusted! She is good with other cats.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
